Products from the USA may come with an input voltage of 110V–120V, requiring a step-down transformer. Check the device wattage to select the correct power converter.
•EVERY UNIT CARRIES BOTH AN M12 PORT AND A STANDARD RJ-45 PORT — Master and remote are identically fitted, so the M12 side connects to rail, vehicle and machine-mounted equipment while the RJ-45 side takes an ordinary patch lead from a switch, an IP camera, a controller or a laptop. Nothing on the link requires M12 cabling to commission it, and nothing requires an adapter to move between the two.
•800 m / 2600 ft OF DATA OVER ONE COAX RUN OR ONE PAIR, 500 m / 1640 ft WHEN THE SAME RUN ALSO CARRIES PoE — Full-duplex 100 Mbit link, 92–95 Mbit/s real throughput after protocol overheads. The uplink accepts RG-59, RG-6 or RG-11 75 Ω coax directly, or any two copper wires through the BNC-to-screw-terminal adapter supplied in the set. Wire gauge, insulation and joint quality set where inside those figures a given run lands.
•THE MASTER TAKES 802.3af/at PoE AS A PD, OR 12 VDC, OR 46–57 VDC — ANY OF THE THREE — Feed it from a PoE port you already have and it needs no outlet at all, drawing ≤3.5 W. Where there is no PoE, or where the link has to power several remotes, the 48 VDC supply in the set does the same job. The remote unit not only powers itself off the same uplink the data rides on, it also puts IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at back out of its own RJ-45 port for the camera, access point or reader at the far end.
•POINT-TO-POINT, STAR AND DAISY-CHAIN FROM THE SAME HARDWARE — One master feeds one remote, or several remotes in a star from a single head end, or a chain of units passing the link down a line of cabinets. The topology is set by how the units are cabled, not by a different part number or a configuration step. Star and chain layouts draw their power from the 48 VDC supply at the master rather than from PoE.
•−40 °C TO +85 °C, FANLESS ALUMINIUM, 35 mm DIN RAIL, 128-BIT AES ON THE LINK — 122 × 88 × 50 mm and 513 g per unit, no vents and no moving parts, IEEE 1901 with CSMA/CA access and AES encryption on the copper span. Working humidity 20–85% RH non-condensing. LED indicators for Link, Line and PoE on both units.
•Works With Both Coax and 2-Wire Copper: Accepts RG-59/6/11 coax or 2-wire twisted pair using the included BNC-to-screw-terminal adapter.
